GUIDE TO ADVERTISERS

 Advertising Policies

The ADVERTISER refers to the party (organization or company) which books the advertising space and shall be responsible for payments. The PUBLISHER refers to the Philippine Society of Pathologists, Inc. who shall make decisions regarding consideration and acceptance of advertisements.

  1. All advertisements are independent from editorial decisions. PJP and its Publisher, the Philippine Society of Pathologists, Inc., do not endorse any product or service marked as an advertisement or promoted by a sponsor in publications of the Society. Editorial content is not compromised by commercial or financial interests, or by any specific arrangements with advertising clients or sponsors.

  2. PJP reserves the right to decline any type of advertising that is damaging to the brand of PJP or is inappropriate to the vision, mission, thrusts, values, and ideals of the Philippine Society of Pathologists, Inc.

  3. PJP shall not accept advertising for products or services known to be harmful to health (e.g. tobacco and alcohol products).

  4. Advertisements may not be deceptive or misleading, and must be verifiable. Advertisements should clearly identify the advertiser and the product or service being offered. Exaggerated or extravagantly worded copy shall not be allowed.

  5. Advertisements shall not be accepted if they appear to be indecent or offensive in either text or artwork, or if they relate to content of a personal, racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, or religious nature.

  6. Once an advertisement has been deployed online, it shall be withdrawn from the journal site at any time if the Editor(s)-in-Chief or the Philippine Society of Pathologists, Inc., as the Publisher, requests its removal.

  7. PJP shall not allow any treatment-specific, laboratory technology- equipment- or assay-specific campaign to be targeted to a specific article(s) or on any page where content relates to the product(s) being advertised.

  8. Advertisers may not link to articles using keywords; they may not target advertising for a specific product on the condition that it appears in the same location and at the same time as a specific article mentioning that product and they may not refer to an article published at the same time as the advertisement appears.

  9. All advertisements shall comply to Philippine laws on fair and truthful advertising.

  10. All advertisements for diagnostic laboratory testing campaigns should encourage correct and rational use and must not be misleading.

  11. Editorial decisions shall not be influenced by current or potential sponsors and advertisers, and shall not be influenced by marketing decisions. Advertisers and sponsors have no control or influence over the results of searches a user may conduct on the website by keyword or search topic.

  12. PJP shall not entertain any requests outside its policies.

Advertisement Types and Corresponding Rates

The PJP is an online-only publication published 2x a year (June and December) by the Philippine Society of Pathologists, Inc.   The following advertisement rates are per issue and generally grouped according to the advertisement's position in the journal and size. 

Terms and Conditions

  • Booking for advertisements shall be on a "first-reserved, first-served" basis.

  • The Publisher reserves the right to decline or approve for publication all advertisements submitted.

  • The Publisher reserves the right to modify or alter all advertisements submitted to bring them in conformity with the journal's style, unless called for by the type of advertisement (e.g., bleeding advertisements).

  • The Publisher reserves the right to place the term "Advertisement" on the submitted advertisement as deemed necessary by the Editor-in-Chief.

  • Payment should be made within thirty (30) days on the date of invoice.  An official receipt shall be provided by the Philippine Society of Pathologists, Inc.

  • Advertisers may reserve/book for the whole year.
